About the Brand
Japanese designer Junya Watanabe is known for his innovative, avant-garde approach to design. After graduating from Bunka Fashion College, he joined Comme des Garçons under Rei Kawakubo, where he began as a patternmaker before becoming chief designer of the Tricot line. Launching his namesake line in 1993 under the Comme des Garçons label, bringing his signature focus on experimental fabrics, precise construction, and technically driven design to ready-to-wear.
